Love it
Well balanced and powerful. This drill is fun to use. I love the light that illuminates your workspace. Only thing I would wish for is a clip to hold a screw bit like my old drill had.

Makita Compact Lithium 18 Volt Drill
I was looking for a good cordless drill where I could go to use it and have the batteries charged when I wanted to use it after a few days. This lithium drill battery system works great. The drill works great and after using it for several projects I really enjoy the fast recharge and the power of this system. I had no problems at all with the power needed for my projects and would recomend this drill even if it seems to be expensive at first. Makita does make a good drill.

Powerful tool, be careful :)
I've owned a Ryobi 18 volt Ni-cad drill and used it for two years. I went browsing my local power tool store to pick up a backup drill in case the Ryobi died. I've gone through over 8 batteries, never really knowing which one is going to have a full charge/be weak/ or not work at all, so I decided to "try out" the Lithium-ion ones. Holy smokes. Lots of quick power, torquey bugger. If you put a bit in the chuck, grab the chuck and pull the trigger, then watch your hand. It'll burn the skin right off your hand holding the chuck. Better to use low speed and slowly squeeze trigger. Makes me feel like an astronaut, it's so high tech. I use it with a 5 gallon squirrel cage mixer and mix up 30 gallons at a time with this. I use it for drilling out rivets, installing screws (low clutch setting) and drilling holes. Works fine driving long screws too, but you have to start with lower clutch setting. The Ryobi is history now, collecting dust. It's the "backup" now and after using this drill, I hope I never have to use my old one again. The things I love about it? Dependable powerful battery, light and excellent speed control. The LED is nice too. Used that in an attic yesterday, and the light stays on for a few seconds so you don't have to just barely hold the trigger like you do on Bosch 10.8 V driver to keep the light on. Also the battery lasts a long time. I can go two days before having to charge. But I keep the spare just in case. The charger charges each cell independantly too so the battery has a full charge each time and should last lots longer than my other nicads for sure. Bad things? Don't burn your hand while tightening the chuck.

Well worth the buy.
The drill is light weight and sweet. Uses the battery till the bitter end getting that last screw in. Best part I can swap batteries and put a 3.0mah for the bigger jobs. The light helps a bunch on dark areas. Wish it a switch to turn it off in bright areas. It does not come with a bit holder which is optional. Just the same Great! I didn't go wrong on this one.
