 NO FOAM PAD As stated in a previous review there is no foam pad. The two pads included are: wool #192629-7 compounding pad and #743403-A polishing pad. The polisher is great but the bargain is lost without the foam pad. Inacurate Picture I'd like to point out that although the photo of this item shows it comes with a foam polishing pad, it in fact does not include the foam pad.  Quality work with a quality product... I use this makita to buff out my cars. For the past 3 years I was using a dual action polisher, which did a fabulous job. However, it took forever to do one body panel, and if any paint imperfection was deeper than a swirl, it had a difficult time removing it. The makita is fast, durable, and very well made. Knowing that a rotary can easily ruin your cars finish I went at it very slow to begin with. The variable speed clutch allows you to slowly start spinning the head when you start as opposed to the machine ramping up to 1500 rpm right away. The bale handle makes for easy operation, and the entire unit weighed less than I had initially thought. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. The storage bag is top notch as well. I came away very happy with the entire process, from order, to shipping and handling, it all went very smooth. Great Dual Purpose tool this tool is great for both sanding and polishing. While I'm just a hobbyist, the 9227cx3 has made me very happy. It has good low end torque so it keeps its speed steady even at low speed under load. | |||||||||
