 Miss American made products Excellent features on this tool and suited for general home use. Unfortunately, this tool had a defect that eliminated the feature I wanted and that was 2 speed control.The switch for changing speed was not opererative and rendered it useless. An obvious defect. This would not be if the tool was manufactured by Black & Decker in the U.S.A. I do not have confidence in machines, tools or electronics made in China.  PD600 review This is a handy tool with its only fault (imho) being its overall size. What bothers me the most is that local retailers are pricing this unit considerably cheaper than any NEW ITEM priced here on Amazon. Why is that? I am an automotive service professional and I purchased this unit for my home toolbox. It compares well with much more expensive units. One note that might be important to users: Don't leave the wall-wart recharger plugged in when you're not charging the tool. This will cause it to overheat and provide inadequate charging of the screw-gun. Overall I am very pleased and would certainly recommend it to novices and professionals alike. Watch for the price to continue falling as this unit is being replaced by a newer model in the not to distant future. Convenient Measuring Tape - GONE... I was surprised to see that B&D went away with the measuring tape usually stored in the handle. All the accompanying documentation still mention it. Terrific Tool...almost For the price, excellent - only complaint is that the torque is a bit weak for driving larger screws...needed to first drill a pilot hole. But for easy, round-the-house repairs, a good buy | |||||||||
