Tooless blade changes / cuts better than other 20 AMP saws / substitute chain saw
Tooless blade changes / cuts better than other 20 AMP saws / substitute chain saw.

It deserves every star ! Yeah, it is that good, in case you forgot your chainsaw use your Sawzall instead.

Tooless setup makes blades the easiest to change out, the weight balance is 50/50 so it doesn't strain one arm more than the other when cutting.

Milwaukee blades can flex extremely, I've had to curve the blade while slicing that would normally snap any other recip saw blade.

The variable speed trigger is smooooooooooth, with the fine tooth blade you can use this thing for fine craft work if you just don't like your Dremel tool.

Milwaukee gives you a decent set of blades to start with and other companies make compatible blades including Black & Decker's rough wood cutter to tree cutting.

Our saw made quick work of a collapsed exterior house wall and a tree stump, just 10 AMPS but it cuts like a DeWalt 20 AMP.

It is worth the money.

hate to write the first negative review but...
I had high expectations for this saw... meaning I had expectations that if I paid the extra $$$ for the Milwaukee it would last a lifetime and I wouldn't regret it. I do.

The first Sawzall I purchased worked for about 0.3 seconds. It whirred once and then died. It never came back to life so I returned it for a new one. The new one works great--but I have only used it about four times and the trigger is already cracked. I think it will still function--but I hate having to get out the super glue to work on a brand new tool. I have not dropped the saw, I always keep it in its case, and I haven't even used it enough to wear out a single blade--and somehow TWO saws have already broken on me.

The Milwaukee felt better than any of the other saws I tried, (and it was more expensive than the others) but the long-term durability just doesn't seem to be there... But maybe I just have bad luck.

The essential demo tool....
Milwaukee still makes great tools. I've heard some of their new stuff is hecho en Mexico, but this one's still made in the good ol'USA. Even being the smaller of their Sawzalls, it's still powerful enough to get through 2x6s and 3-4 diameter tree branches with ease, when you choose the appropriate blades. Speaking of which, I bought a Bosch combo pack, and couldn't be happier. Milwaukee tools and Bosch blades; great together. Then again, anything with Bosch blades...

Can't believe I forgot to review my new best friend!
Bought this last year and my main purpose for it, was to cut down my daughter's aluminum swing set. My wife pulled me aside one day to remind me that Kati was 21 and probably wouldn't be using it all that much, you know, her being 4 hours away at college and all. This thing was huge and took up a large portion of one side of the yard. When I put it in, I guess I feared a Hurricane (not something we regularly experience here in Northern Michigan), since I put 100 pounds of concrete in each leg hole. So, needless to say, I couldn't just put an add in the paper for someone to come by and pick it up for their kids. Long story short, I hoped that the Sawzall would be my answer, and it was. I spent an enjoyable afternoon cutting up the thick aluminum, as the saws blades went through it like the proverbial hot knife through butter. It was very cool. I have used it a couple times since, but feel good just knowing it is there when needed. Just buy it, you won't regret it!
